ASAP Rocky is supposed to be enjoying his summer on tour in Europe, but instead he’s in jail in Sweden and now celebs are speaking out to stand with the rapper.
What’s up y’all? It’s Emile Ennis Jr. here with Clevver News and in case you missed it, ASAP Rocky was arrested in Sweden and is facing up to six years in jail for aggravated assault.
And apparently the conditions are horrendous.
TMZ reported that the rapper is sleeping on a yoga mat with no blankets, the water is not clean, the food is not edible, and there are actual human feces everywhere.
ASAP ended up there because he and three members of his crew were arrested after he got into a physical altercation with a man who was following their group and trying to pick a fight with them.
ASAP actually got the whole thing on camera and the footage shows him trying to resolve the situation multiple times before punches were thrown.
But the Swedish officials arrested him and he could be held for up to two weeks as they decide whether or not to charge him.
And since his arrest, many of ASAP’s fans and celebrity supporters feel like he is facing unjust treatment.
Celebs are speaking out on their own social media channels to show their support for ASAP.
Post Malone shared a pic of him and wrote quote, “Always strive and prosper. Love you very much #justiceforrocky”
And Justin Bieber said quote, “we’re with you bro @asaprocky go sign this petition!! #freerocky.”
The petition Justin is talking about was created by the ASAP Mob on Change.org and already has hundreds of thousands of signatures in just one day.
Shawn Mendes also posted to his story sharing his support for ASAP with a swipe up link to the petition.
And I’ve got to say I really do feel bad for ASAP, regardless of who was right and who was wrong, those conditions sound horrible and no one should be treated that way.
