Special BMW X5 with BMW Individual appointments spotted in Romania
Recently, in a trip to the beautiful mountain resort of Poiana Brasov, in the picturesque (yet, highly underrated) Romania, I was able to capture a rare sight for my country: a gorgeous, master-class BMW X5 (G05) sporting some really eye-catching BMW Individual appointments.
Since the market launch in 2018, the G05 X5 generation has become quite a presence on Romanian streets. The co-national clients mostly prefer the beefy looks, judging by the high numbers of M Sport configurations sold.
Most of the models I managed to see while driving where painted in Mineral White or Sapphire/Carbon Black, but I have also spotted some M Sport and X Line X5s in the Sunstone Metallic color.
In the recent trip to my hometown in Brasov, in the central part of Romania, I also took a ride to the mountain resort of Poiana Brasov, some 12 km away from the city center. Resting in one of the crowded car parks, this special BMW X5 was like waiting for me.
The SAV was painted in the special BMW Individual Ametrin Metallic exterior color – a first for me in real life, as there are probably none or very few example of this kind in Romania. The color was further highlighted with the help of the BMW Individual high-gloss shadow line exterior side-window ornaments. The kidney grille was fully finished in chrome.
Apart from the paint finishes that resembles a rotten cherry in its intricate shade, the interior was also dressed in the refined BMW Individual Merino Tartufo leather upholstery for the front and rear seats, while the upper and lower parts of the dashboard were covered in the BMW Individual Merino Black leather.
What’s more, the X5 also sported the Crafted Clarity package (Glass Package), which means the electronic gear shifter, the engine start/stop button and the iDrive controller were carved out of shiny glass. As well, the lucky customer of this outstanding BMW X5 also ticked the option of BMW Live Cockpit Professional, sporting the big digital instrument cluster and the large-sized control display for the BMW iDrive OS 7.0 infotainment system.
Last, but not least, the car was specced with the M-styling code 740 bicolor wheels with an overall diameter of 20 inches (also featuring the M Sport brake system with M logo-ed blue calipers), while at the back, the X5 was equipped with the M Sport dual exhausts and an electrically-controlled tow hook.
