News- US
http://youtu.be/m6IwUSGjJTo The NAACP issued a travel advisory discouraging tourists from visiting Florida to protest Gov. Ron DeSantis’ policies, which the civil rights group claim are “hostile to black Americans” — just days before he’s expected to announce his candidacy for president. “On a seeming quest to silence African-American voices, the Governor and the State of Florida have shown that African Americans are not welcome in the State of Florida,” the stunning travel advisory released Saturday said. “Due to this sustained, blatant, relentless and systemic attack on democracy and civil rights, the NAACP hereby issues a travel advisory to African Americans, and other people of color regarding the hostility towards African Americans in Florida,” the group added. Biden claims he’s ‘blameless’ if US defaults on debt, points finger at ‘MAGA Republicans’ | NY Post

News- US
http://youtu.be/KjRimUCPTSA President Biden declared himself free of any blame should the country default on its debt, shifting the responsibility on “MAGA Republicans” and claiming they have derailed negotiations. Discussing the infighting over the debt ceiling during a news conference in Hiroshima, Japan, Biden claimed far-right Republicans are hoping to cause a default and weaken the US economy ahead of his 2024 re-election campaign. “I’ve done my part,” Biden said of negotiations with Republicans after months of insisting there would be no debate over the debt ceiling. “It’s time for the other side to move their team positions because much of what they were proposed is simply quite frankly, unacceptable.” When asked by Fox News’ Peter Doocy if the president is “blameless” should Am...

News- US
http://youtu.be/bF25n-lXMBU Sen. Tim Scott kicked off his 2024 Republican presidential campaign Monday afternoon in his home state of South Carolina, in a speech that focused on his personal story and hit President Biden and the “radical left” for fostering a culture of “grievance” over “greatness.” In a kickoff event at Charleston Southern University in North Charleston, the only black Senate Republican emphasized his religious faith and ascension to Congress as the son of a single mother raised in poverty and the grandson of a cotton picker in the Jim Crow South. “My family went from cotton to Congress in his lifetime,” Scott said. “And it was only possible because my grandfather had a stubborn faith: faith in God, faith in himself, and faith in what America would be.” “This black ma...

John Fetterman ripped over Senate hoodies, gym shorts: ‘Unprofessional and an insult’ | NY Post

News- US
http://youtu.be/2EAYOSlJDTo Sen. John Fetterman has been accused of showing a “lack of respect” after bringing his hoodies and gym shorts to Washington -– despite one media outlet calling it a sign the Pennsylvania Democrat is making a strong recovery from depression. Fetterman, 53, who is still dealing with speech and auditory processing issues as a result of a stroke, was released in March from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he had checked himself in for treatment. Since returning to the Senate in mid-April, the former Pennsylvania lieutenant governor has often been seen wearing the informal duds instead of the jacket and tie required for male senators on the floor. To circumvent that rule, the 6-foot-8 Fetterman casts votes from the doorway of the Democratic clo...

News- US
http://youtu.be/uaUmUsBEEjw The man accused of killing four University of Idaho students as they slept in their home was met with glares from victims’ emotional families Monday as he stood silent regarding the charges and a not guilty plea was entered on his behalf. Bryan Kohberger was dressed in an orange jail-issued jumpsuit as he entered the Latah County courtroom in Moscow, Idaho — full of the murdered students’ grieving loved ones — after a grand jury returned a five-count indictment against him. Kohberger nodded as the judge spoke to him, and briefly glanced at the packed gallery as the arraignment got underway. He spoke briefly but firmly during the long-awaited hearing, responding “Yes” or “Yes, I do” when prompted by the judge. When asked how he pleaded to the crimes, Kohberg...

Biden again claimed son Beau died ‘in Iraq’ to Marines at Japan stop | New York Post

News- US
http://youtu.be/a87cLTbwP3w President Biden told US forces stationed in Japan that his son Beau perished in the Iraq War, a video obtained exclusively by The Post reveals — after the president stoked questions about his own mental acuity by making the same incorrect claim at least twice last year. “My son was a major in the US Army. We lost him in Iraq,” the 80-year-old president said during an informal visit with US Marines at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni Thursday. The traveling press corps, which has faced repeated access issues while covering the nation’s oldest-ever president, was kept far enough away that the remarks were inaudible. The White House press office did not put out an official transcript, almost allowing the error to escape public notice. Biden said in October of ...

News- US
http://youtu.be/KBp-MoME7lo New York City’s new migrant “welcome center” at the former four-star Roosevelt Hotel in Midtown Manhattan was already slammed Monday with fresh arrivals. Dozens of migrants were hauled in on buses, including about 20 in a yellow school bus, to be processed. Some were forced to wait on their bus for about a half-hour, apparently till the lines inside died down — while the lucky ones arriving around lunchtime got to eat in the landmark’s crystal-chandelier ballroom, where Guy Lombardo and his band used to famously perform “Auld Lang Syne” on New Year’s Eve. “I want to stay here, but they are making us wait on the bus, and then they are taking us somewhere else,” said a 23-year-old single man from Venezuela who only gave his first name, Ulysses. ” ‘No,’ I told ...

The footage filmed by videographer Rebecca Brannon on Sunday shows row upon row of makeshift beds on the floors of precinct houses, with young kids among those sleeping or running around and playing. Their personal belongings, some in plastic trash bags, are littered around the lobbies and mounted high against glass windows as other migrants lounge around outside listening to music. Brannon said she found the camps while visiting eight different stations Sunday across the sanctuary city, which has already declared a state of emergency over the overwhelming influx of border crossers. Ron DeSantis blasted President Biden’s support of vaccine mandates over the weekend by playing off former President Donald Trump’s accelerated push for a COVID-19 jab. Addressing the Florida Family Policy Council on Saturday, DeSantis asserted that vaccine mandates were an egregious violation of individual rights. “The way they weaponized these COVID vaxes was a massive incursion into our freedoms,” the governor said. “They wanted to deny people the right to put food on their table if they didn’t bend the knee and get a COVID shot that they may not have wanted and that many of them did not need.” DeSantis then slipped in a jab at his prospective rival for GOP supremacy. “We can never allow ‘Warp Speed’ to trump informed consent in this country ...
