While some of our favorites took home the popcorn statue at the 2019 MTV Movie and TV Awards, the real winners of the night went to some of the craziest outfits. Like for real, these looks did NOT disappoint.
What’s up guys? It’s Sussan Mourad here with Clevver News and I’ll be honest, the MTV Movie and TV Awards red carpet is one of my favourites because its carpets like these, where the stars come to slay!
We know the awards show is known for being lighthearted and fun, but this year some celebs took their red carpet looks to a whole new level.
Like a meme-able amazing level that we can’t get enough of.
Probably the most talked about outfit of the night was Tana Mongeau’s.
She stole the show in her over-the-top money clip, dollar bill ensemble.
She wrote on her Instagram quote, “Wearing my net worth.”
And the internet was loving it.
One person wrote quote, “Tana mongeau is THAT BITCH, her in a money dress is everything and more. If you disagree shut up cause no one cares.”
And another person literally read my mind and said quote, “Today I woke up and randomly started wondering how Tana Mongeau sat down in her dollar bill dress.”
And of course people were making memes out of it because it was too easy.
One person said quote, “nobody: tana mongeau: *wears a money dress*”
But Tana wasn’t the only one rocking a daring look on the red carpet.
Nick Cannon’s bold fashion choice was actually somewhat intimidating.
He wore a red Louis Vitton combat vest and mask, that were confusing to say the least.
But he certainly stood out, for better or for worse, and ended up taking home the award for best host. So I guess he’s a winner either way.
And my personal favorite red carpet stand out was Lizzo. Who is just slaying everything right now. 2019 is totally her year am I right?
She stunned in a neon green dress with feathers that just made me want to wear lime green all summer long.
And now I think I officially understand the saying “green with envy.”
Her makeup perfectly matched the dress and she rocked blinged out sneakers to complete this perfect look.
And fans were equally obsessed with her.
One person wrote quote, “@lizzo i wanna be u when i grow up.”
Ummm same.
And another said quote, “Lizzo you out here killin it gurl”
Couldn’t agree more.
