Tati Westbrook may be on a digital break, amid the recent YouTube showdown, but she may have James Charles to thank for a MAJOR break in her bank.
What’s up guys, it’s Sussan Mourad back here on Clevver News, and I think it’s safe to say Tati Westbrook might be pleasantly surprised at the massive payday she could be receiving amid the James Charles drama over the past few weeks….
While every party involved in the Tati/James madness has agreed to toss in the towel and stop posting videos that could pass as shortfilms, the feud resulted in both makeup moguls’ YouTube accounts to change drastically. If I went into full detail about it all right now, we’d be here all day, but James’ subscribers went down 3 million (before starting to climb again), while Tati’s doubled from 5 to 10 million.
You do the math.
Ok ok, so now back to the money thing. While many factors, like Instagram #sponsored posts and ad revenue go into a YouTuber’s income making it hard to give exact numbers, we’re gonna have a little fun with this and try make a rough estimate looking at other Youtuber earnings.
So you guys remember little 7-year-old Ryan who was famous for unboxing toys and literally made more than I’ll ever see in a lifetime just ripping open toys at the ripe age of 7?
So according to Forbes, Ryan made an estimated $22 million last year from his channel with around 18 million subscribers, which is just under double the subscribers Tati currently has. If we take those figures and do some number things, we can assume the ratio is pretty similar between the two channels.
This would possibly make Tati’s channel earnings with her 10 million subs somewhere around $12 million dollars assuming that she keeps her follower count.
Yeah $12M, let that sink in for a sec…
Again, take these numbers with a grain of salt, because a lot of factors go into making up the amount of earnings, but it is still very likely that those extra subscribers earned (and will continue to earn) Tati more popularity, subscribers, sponsorships and ads.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Tati is currently worth $6 million, but assuming that number increased along with her follower count, she literally just tripled her net worth.
But it’s ALL good, and I’m fine, because while Tati wipes her tears with some crisp Ben Franklins, I’m wiping my own with my 4-foot-long CVS receipt that saved me $3 off because ya girl’s on a budget. KIDDING… Not really.
