After nine years, almost 2,000 YouTube videos, and one giant scandal, Tati Westbrook is finally releasing her own makeup collection.What’s up guys? It’s Sussan Mourad here with Clevver News and Tati Westbrook, of the infamous Tati vs James Charles YouTube scandal of the century, has put all the drama behind her and is fully focused on her new makeup palette.Good for you Tati, I am all about rounding out the year on a high note.She told People Magazine that quote, “Honestly, this is the happiest I’ve been in a long time. I’ve been through a really rough year for so many reasons. This has brought me to such a peaceful and good place. I’m grateful.And we are grateful because Tati is finally giving her fans what they’ve been asking for — her own makeup brand, now known as Tati Beauty. But this isn’t Tati’s first business venture. As many of you know from the Sugar Bear Hair controversy with James, Tati had her own announcement of a vitamin company, Halo Beauty.But when she announced that brand, it was met with backlash by even some of her most loyal fans.
Tati herself was well aware of the somewhat negative response, telling E! News that quote, “No one wanted it. They were like, ‘We want makeup.'”And now we’re finally getting some makeup from the Glam Life Guru herself.Because as Tati sees it, it takes time to make a dream come true.She told E! that quote, “It takes time to do it the right way and I had certain things that were non-negotiable to me and I had other offers — other offers to collaborate. I feel really happy. It’s about time. It’s like seeing the finish line that you’ve been running to — really for nearly a decade.”And apparently, one of those other offers she turned down was a $5 million dollar deal with another company. Tati admitted turning down such a lucrative opportunity was challenging, but if she didn’t trust her gut in that moment, this new door may never have opened. Tati shared the exciting news with her fans on her Instagram page.So it looks like the palette drops on Friday and is going to be on sale for $48.And her fans are flooding the comment section with excitement.And Tati means it when she says “this is all for us.” She loves her subscribers so much that she even threw a launch party for them for Tati Beauty.Usually influencers only invite other influencers to events like this but Tati actually invited her fans and it was really special.Tati actually took the time to go around to take selfies, hug, and talk to all of her fans who were there for her launch.
They also swatched all of the colors and got to dip into the palette themselves. It looked like everyone was covered in war paint with all the swatches going around.And the palette does look beautiful. They’re neutral tones with a mix of matte, metallic, and glitter shades.And on top of how pretty it is on the outside, it looks like it won’t hurt your insides at all either. Tati shared this pic of the palette and wrote quote, “Cruelty Free ? Paraben Free ? Vegan Formula ? Made in the USA ? 6 Tones in 4 Finishes ?”So that sounds like a win-win, but creating this palette didn’t come without its struggles. Tati says there were quote “many moments of just sleepless nights and anxiety and people getting in your head to do things differently.”Tati told E! that the makeup industry can be quote “cutthroat” at times.She said quote, “It’s come to a point where we’re all comparing how talented we are by how bright and bold the looks can get” which isn’t exactly the vibe of this palette which she’s called “Textured Neutrals Vol. 1”, She said that it’s her way of proving that it’s okay to be “basic.” Because Tati says her goal is to give her fans an “accessible, easy to use” product that makes them feel good.And as someone who isn’t the most advanced makeup artist, I can definitely appreciate a wearable palette like this. As much as I love bright colors, this is definitely looks easier to apply on yourself.But this palette isn’t all for Tati Beauty.Rather it’s just the beginning. Apparently there are over 30 more collections in the works over at Tati Beauty.So it seems like we will be getting a lot more products soon and I can’t wait to get my hands on them and try them.You know that over here at Clevver we love to try every influencers new makeup product.
