Taylor Swift performed at iHeart Radio’s Wango Tango in LA this past weekend and it was an iconic rainbow masterpiece. But it wasn’t all rainbows, Taylor got political and reaffirmed her support of the LGBTQ+ community.

What’s up y’all? It’s Emile Ennis Jr. here with Clevver News and our girl Taylor started pride month off strong with by using her platform celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and urging the Senate to pass the Equality Act.

And as I mentioned, Taylor’s performance was a rainbow masterpiece.

Please see this rainbow fringed jacket, rainbow corset shorts, and neon rainbow shoes for reference. She was basically a living pride flag.

BRB going to try to order this whole outfit for Pride week. But this will be like outfit number 4 because I already have some looks.

Anyway, before performing her song “Delicate” she spoke to the crowd and it was powerful.

In case you missed any of that from the cheering, she said quote, “You know, a lot of my songs are about love. And I just feel like, you know, who you love, how you — you should be able to live your life the way you want to live your life, and you should have the same exact rights as anybody else.”

She then mentioned the letter she wrote to Tennessee Senator Lamar Alexander, asking that he vote in support the Equality Act to prevent discrimination against members of the LGBTQ+ community.

In the letter she urged the senator to quote “think about the lives you could change for the better” by passing the Equality Act.

She also encouraged the Wango Tango audience to sign the petition she started in support of the Equality Act.

Which is a big deal for Taylor who, until recently, was pretty private about her political stances.

But now she is the rainbow pride icon I never knew I needed.

Taylor finished off her performance with her new single “Me” with Brendon Urie, who wore a “100% Pride” shirt.

So overall, it was an iconic set for Taylor.

And Swifties are so here for the new, outspoken Taylor.

One person wrote quote, “@taylorswift13 has come a long way since her days of political ambiguity and I couldn’t be prouder of her, or of being able to call myself a fan. #pride #EqualityAct”

And another said quote, “@taylorswift13 thank you so much for all of your support during pride month. it means so so so much to me to have an idol who uses her voice to help others who aren’t as privileged. i love you ?”

I couldn’t agree more!

Alright guys, now I want to hear from you.
