Teenagers respond to COVID-19 vaccine announcement

Teenagers have responded to the JCVI’s recommendation to vaccinate 16-17 year-olds.

They are to be offered a first dose of a coronavirus vaccine, with teenagers not needing the consent of their parents to get a jab.

The JCVI says it is confident that young people will be given around 80% protection against hospitalisation after they are given the first dose.
