The village of Eyam is no stranger to Lockdown

In the seventeenth century, the villagers of Eyam in the peak District chose to cut themselves off from the world when one of their own died from the Plague.

Their actions saved many lives in the surrounding area and as restrictions for the COVID-19 lockdown ease for ‘freedom day’ the villagers have mixed feelings.

Sky’s politics and people correspondent Nick Martin walked down the path of history to reflect on the lessons learned.
