Thousands of families are still trapped in Afghanistan

Empty planes take off from Kabul airport as Taliban soldiers stop families with valid papers leaving Afghanistan.

Some British citizens with valid passports have waited over a month to board a plane. Taliban soldiers are clamping down on journalists’ coverage of airports and the families desperate to flee.

Sky’s special correspondent Alex Crawford has been speaking to some of them, and sent this report from Kabul.
