Smith, who fronted unique prog-punk group, had long-term health difficulties after a heart attack and stroke in 2008
Tim Smith, frontman with cult British band the Cardiacs, has died aged 59.
The news was confirmed by his bandmate Kavus Torabi. Another band representative said Smith had “passed away peacefully [Tuesday] night around 10.30pm”.
