This is the touching moment an orphaned albino elephant was greeted by her new herd.
“Khanyisa” was rescued in January 2020 from a poacher’s snare and taken to Hoedspruit Elephant Rehabilitation and Development in South Africa.
After three months of rehabilitation, she was introduced to the Jabulani herd of rescued elephants which quickly accepted her.
She now spends her days out in the wild with the other members of her species who greet her daily with this enthusiastic fanfare of trumpeting.
