As if it wasn't bad enough that the dog had found itself trapped deep in a narrow cave, rescuers in Tennessee soon learned the poor pooch was sharing the space with a 200-pound slumbering beast.
The gigantic bear sleeping in the dark recesses of the cave was not the animal that firefighters had anticipated encountering when they descended to bring back a hunting dog who had fallen down the shaft.
