U.S. President Donald Trump blasted charges of plotting to overturn the 2020 election loss as “fake”, one day after his arraignment in Washington DC.
The former president faces four counts, including conspiracy to defraud the U.S., to deprive citizens of their voting rights, and to obstruct an official proceeding. The most serious charge carries a maximum prison sentence of 20 years.
