Two of the four Americans kidnapped after shootout in Mexico found dead | New York Post

Two of the four US citizens violently kidnapped in Mexico during a terrifying caught-on-camera cartel shootout Friday have been found dead and two others alive, officials announced Tuesday.

One of the surviving Americans was wounded and the other was unharmed, Tamaulipas Gov. Américo Villarreal said.

One person has been arrested.

The foursome from South Carolina — identified as Latavia “Tay” McGee, Shaeed Woodard, Zindell Brown and Eric James Williams — were abducted at gunpoint in broad daylight on May 4, shortly after they crossed the border from Texas into the crime-ridden border city of Matamoros, located in the northeastern state of Tamaulipas.

Shocking video of the abduction shows several gunmen in bulletproof vests targeting the white minivan with North Carolina license plates the group was traveling in.
