A total of 1,703 patients have died in Scotland after testing positive for coronavirus, up by 83 from 1,620 on Tuesday, Nicola Sturgeon said.

The figures are lower than the 2,795 deaths given earlier by the National Records of Scotland (see 12.22.) as they do not include suspected and probable coronavirus infections.
