Mark Drakeford, the First Minister of Wales, said that while the nation was in the third wave of the coronavirus pandemic, there were causes for optimism – driven by the success of the vaccine.
Mr Drakeford said that despite 145 people in every 100,000 having the virus, Wales was able to loosen restrictions from this weekend.
