Professor Adam Finn, a member of the JCVI Committee, has warned the UK is facing a “worsening situation” as we go into the winter.
He told Sky News: “We can’t be complacent about this, this is a worsening situation in an NHS that is already under enormous pressure.”
Professor Finn admitted that waning immunity “does exist”, adding: “I think we are seeing an increased risk”.
