It has no solid surface but a thick liquid interior under its gaseous atmosphere.
Uranus has an unusual axial tilt, rotating nearly on its side, which is believed to have occurred due to a significant impact with a large object in its early formation.
The tilt of Uranus leads to severe seasonal variations, where one pole is exposed to sunlight for long durations, while the opposite pole remains in shadow.
The 27 moons of the planet named after characters from the works of William Shakespeare and Alexander Pope.
Uranus requires about 84 years on Earth to finish a single orbit around the Sun.
