Helix Nebula: This a planetary nebula, which is formed when a star like the Sun runs out of fuel, expands and its outer layers puff off, and then the core of the star shrinks.

Cat eye nebula: This was one of the first planetary nebulae to be discovered.

NGC 7293, better known as the Helix nebula, displays its ultraviolet glow courtesy of NASA's Galaxy Evolution Explorer (GALEX).

Lagoon Nebula: Located in in the Sagittarius, this cosmic cloud displays swirling pinks and blues from young stars. It is about 4,000 light-years away from us.

In this false-color image, NASA's Hubble and Spitzer Space Telescopes have teamed up to capture the complex structure of Helix nebula in unprecedented detail. The composite picture is made up of visible data from Hubble and infrared data from Spitzer.
