Because of early industrialisation in the town, Sivakasi is now known for its 100% employment rate.

Interestingly, the town produces 70% of fireworks and dominates 60% of India’s printing market.

Just like Japan is known for it's tech and precision, Sivakasi is famous for its fireworks, matches, and printing industries.

Sivakasi is now one of India's top tax-paying towns, generating high revenue from sales, excise, and customs duties annually.
