A woman living in Montreal, Canada, had her wedding ring cut off her swollen finger after wearing it for 18 years.
Peggy Velosa filmed herself as she got her wedding band off after 18 years of wearing it without ever taking it off.
“After 18 years of wearing my ring, I decided to try and remove it from my finger and I couldn’t get it past my knuckle no matter how hard I tried and how creative I got.
“No, there was no funky smell or infection because I was able to spin my ring in its place on my ring finger and there was space underneath. I wore it while washing my hands, sleeping, and even in the shower. Since there was space under my ring, water and soap would get under when I washed my hands.
“In the end, I decided to go to my local jewellery store and get it removed there. So, here is the video. I wasn’t in any kind of pain, even if my finger looks like it’s about to pop in the video. The swelling was from the day before with me trying to remove my ring myself.”
