Would gene editing of crops be good for the planet?

The Government has announced plans to allow gene editing of crops to help them withstand extreme weather caused by climate change. But some warn it’s not a long-term solution to the crisis.

Director of the Conservative Environment Network Sam Hall says it’s a “win for the climate”. 

But climate justice activist Daze Aghaji says there’s no “long-term evidence” on how it could impact the environment
