Boris Johnson’s promise of a ‘Green Revolution’ could now reportedly see an increase in the price of meat, cheese and gas.

Despite plans for a so-called carbon tax, the Prime Minister received a stinging rebuke today from one of the world’s leading climate scientists.

Professor James Hansen wrote an open letter calling for the UK to halt plans for its first deep coalmine in 30 years.

He said Mr Johnson now risked being humiliated on the world stage, ahead of Britain hosting the Cop26 climate summit in Glasgow later this year.
