Novitec Ferrari Purosangue Esteso: A Widebody Transformation
Overview
Novitec, a leading refinement specialist for Ferrari and other Maranello-built cars, has developed the Esteso widebody package for the Ferrari Purosangue, the brand’s first SUV. The kit widens the vehicle by six centimeters, improves aerodynamic efficiency and high-speed stability, and is available with body components in exposed carbon fiber or paintable PUR-Rim plastic. All parts are designed for plug-and-play installation. Novitec, known for its widebody N-Largo conversions for Ferrari, Lamborghini, and McLaren models, positions the Esteso as a natural extension of that lineup for the Purosangue.
Body and Styling
With the Esteso fender flares installed at the front and rear axles, the Purosangue reaches a total width of 2.09 meters, six centimeters wider than the standard car. Custom rocker panels create a lower, sleeker stance and smooth transition to the wider wheel arches. The front end gains Esteso spoilers on each side and in the center, increasing front-axle downforce at high speed, along with an exposed-carbon front fascia trim framing the grille. Optional upgrades include a redesigned or carbon-trimmed hood, a carbon air filter box cover, and carbon accents for the mirrors and fender air outlets. At the rear, a carbon diffuser pairs with a rear spoiler and roof-mounted wing to complete the aggressive look. Customers who prefer not to widen their vehicle can still add the visual components without the wider flares, choosing between exposed-carbon or painted PUR-Rim finishes.
Wheels and Suspension
Novitec worked with American wheel maker Vossen to create three exclusive rim designs specifically for the Esteso package, offered in 22- and 23-inch diameters with a choice of 72 colors and brushed or polished finishes. Rear wheels measure 12Jx23 with 315/30 ZR 23 tires, while front wheels measure 9.5Jx22 with 255/35 ZR 22 tires, emphasizing the SUV’s wedge-shaped profile. Custom sport springs lower the ride height by approximately 25 millimeters to improve handling through a lower center of gravity.
Performance and Exhaust
Novitec’s high-performance exhaust system, paired with special sport catalysts, adds up to 30 horsepower to the Purosangue’s naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V-12, raising total output to 755 hp (556 kW). The exhaust is offered with or without active sound management via electronically controlled valves, and can be built from stainless steel or lightweight Inconel, a material also used in Formula 1. An especially exclusive version of the Inconel exhaust is available with 999 fine-gold plating, and multiple tailpipe tip designs are offered, including a fine-gold-plated option.
