Deep beneath the Amazon rainforest, scientists used laser technology to uncover evidence of a lost civilization so vast that it is rewriting everything we thought we knew about the ancient jungle. Known as the Aquiry civilization, these people carved enormous geometric shapes into the earth—including circles, squares, octagons, and mysterious pentagram-like designs—while building a network of ceremonial centers hidden beneath the trees for more than 2,000 years.
