Biden asks for ‘contingency plans’ to extend Afghanistan withdrawal in reversal | New York Post
http://youtu.be/UxeWGtwUqyU
President Joe Biden announced that he has asked defense officials to put together “contingency plans” for keeping American forces on the ground in Afghanistan beyond the end of this month — despite claiming earlier Tuesday that the White House would abide by the Taliban’s “red line” of a full withdrawal by Aug. 31.
Biden said Tuesday that the completion of US forces’ evacuation operation at Kabul’s international airport by the end of this month “depends on the Taliban continuing to cooperate,” and confirmed that he had asked the Pentagon and the State Department for “contingency plans to adjust the timetable, should that become necessary.”

News network broadcasts Satanic ritual accidentally | New York Post
http://youtu.be/osTAB2YIGno
Not today, Satan. Not today.
A stoic news anchor adeptly handled a devilishly haywire situation last week when a clip showing a Satanic ritual was accidentally broadcast during her segment.
It began as Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) presenter Yvonne Yong calmly informed audiences of new animal legislation during a live program on the network. “State government announced the proposed legislation today. It’s in part due to the stabbing of a police dog during an arrest in Brisbane last year,” she said.

The Washington Post is so woke it actually just corrected a JOKE | New York Post
http://youtu.be/YKkExrY2n-E
Earlier this month, Washington Post humor columnist Gene Weingarten wrote a column headlined, “You can’t make me eat these foods,” about his distaste for various cuisines, products, and spices — Old Bay, balsamic vinegar, anchovies, sweet pickles, and so on. (Listen, when you have weekly deadlines, you do what you must.) Weingarten wrote his column, as humorists often do, in a self-deprecating tone, casting himself as a troglodytic contrarian.
One of the cuisines Weingarten mocked was Indian food — praising the subcontinent for its glorious contributions to the world but joking about his distaste for curry.

Afghanistan: Foreign Secretary denies “lounging on the beach” during Taliban takeover
http://youtu.be/f2_YuzOkwuM
The Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab says the idea he was "lounging around on the beach" while the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan escalated "was nonsense" and that he was in COBRA meetings despite being on holiday.
He told Sky's Niall Paterson that his role means that he's often out of the country or travelling, but his mind is on the job at all times.
Mr Raab said the government was surprised by the scale and pace of the collapse of the situation in Kabul but he "was focussed on what really mattered".
