According to Autosport, Team MTEK wants back in the World Endurance Championship and since BMW recently announced its retirement from the series, the two companies will follow different paths from 2020 on. Team MTEK ran BMW M3 and M4 models in the DTM between 2013 and 2015 and did so quite successfully.
