Blackpool is the latest NHS trust to declare a critical incident due to staff shortages and very high demands for its services as hospitals face pressure from rapidly rising rates of Omicron.
The Trust has released a statement saying that staff across the Trust will be working together and that some non- urgent activity will be stepped down.
