Iran’s Revolutionary Guards commander said on Monday that the Strait of Hormuz is closed and Iran is to set any ship trying to pass on fire, Iranian media reported.
The move comes after Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in an Israeli strike, which would threaten to choke a fifth of global oil flows and send crude prices sharply higher. (Reuters)
