A Boston defense attorney once named as one of People magazine’s most eligible bachelors has been charged with raping two women, prosecutors said.
Gary Zerola, 49, who appeared in the magazine’s 2001 list of “America’s Top 50 Bachelors” alongside the likes of actors Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Benicio del Toro, was arraigned on Jan. 15 on charges of rape and breaking and entering with felony intent, Suffolk County District Attorney Rachael Rollins said.

Japanese officials have denied claims the Tokyo Olympic Games are being cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The 2020 Games have already been delayed once, with the opening ceremony currently scheduled for July 23 this year.
But according to The Times, local officials have conceded the event cannot happen because of COVID-19.

The current COVID-19 variant that was first identified in the UK may be more deadly than the original virus, the Prime Minister has warned.
At the Downing Street news conference on Friday, Boris Johnson said: "There is some evidence that the new variant may be associated with a higher degree of mortality."
Mr Johnson added: "All current evidence continues to show that the current vaccines remain effective against the old coronavirus variant and this new one."
