The Ohio newlyweds whose wedding turned into a coronavirus superspreader event opened up about the ordeal, describing the emotional “toll” of learning about the rise in cases.
Of the 83 attendees at the Halloween wedding of Anthony and Mikayla Bishop in the city of Blue Ash, a total of 32 have since tested positive for coronavirus, including the couple and three of their grandparents, WLWT reported.
“Every single day we’re getting a call. ‘Oh here’s another person. Here’s another person. Here’s another person.’ And it starts to take a toll on you,” Mikayla Bishop said.
Mikayla said most of their wedding guests went maskless for their big day, despite the couple providing face coverings for all attendees.

Schools Chancellor Richard Carranza told principals Wednesday that all in-person learning in the nation’s largest school system will shut down due to a citywide rise in coronavirus cases.
Carranza said the infection rate average over the last seven days hit the closure threshold of 3 percent and that building activity would be suspended.
“The closure of buildings is temporary; we will work diligently alongside other City agencies and every other New Yorker to bring this transmission rate back down and get back to in-person learning as quickly and as safely as possible,” Carranza’s email stated.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Tuesday said he won’t delete the account of former White House adviser Steve Bannon for suggesting putting the heads of infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci and FBI Director Christopher Wray “on pikes.”
Twitter banned Bannon for the remark — made this month on his webcast “War Room” — but Facebook only removed the video.
Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) told Zuckerberg at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing that Bannon was calling for violence and should be de-platformed. But the tech titan pushed back.

Sen. Ted Cruz really hates Twitter — but the platform sure loves having him around.
When the Texas Republican excoriated Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on social media censorship Tuesday, Cruz shot to No. 12 on its trending list as the public reveled in his second brutal attack against the tech giant.
“Wow, @tedcruz just asked Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to define what a ‘publisher’ is then used his own response to DESTROY his entire argument and expose Twitter’s blatant censorship of conservatives. What a moment,” Dinesh D’Souza tweeted Tuesday afternoon.

President Trump on Monday encouraged a re-election challenge to Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine after the fellow Republican said Trump should begin handing over the reins to President-elect Joe Biden.
“Who will be running for Governor of the Great State of Ohio? Will be hotly contested!” Trump tweeted, shortly after writing, “I won the Election!”
DeWine, a former senator who worked for 12 years alongside Biden in Congress, was elected to a four-year term as governor in 2018 and won’t face voters again until 2022.
