UK high streets lose Gap to online shoppers

Gap used to be a retail denim giant, but after announcing the closing of all their UK stores, it’s clear they’ve failed to secure their shoppers.

The retailer follows the likes of Debenhams, Topshop, Burton and Dorothy Perkins – which have all closed during the Pandemic.

Gap says the decision comes after a review of its operations in Europe, and will see the company go solely online.

Sky’s business correspondent, Helen Ann Smith, reports.
