US-UK visit: Biden asked about his feelings over Northern Ireland border arrangements

The US and UK leaders sat in the Oval Office and talked about the priorities for their meeting including freedom to trade across Northern Ireland, the new AUKUS pact and the climate funding.

President Biden told reporters: “I feel very strongly about those {protocols}… and I would not at all like to see a change in the Irish accords, with the end result having a closed border again.”

That concern was responded to by his UK counterpart, adding ‘we are completely at one’ over the border arrangements in Belfast.
