Serbia’s PM says Novak Djokovic is being ‘persecuted’

Serbia’s Prime Minister has told Sky News that Novak Djokovic is a victim of ‘political persecution’ after Australia barred his entry to the country.

Ana Brnabić said the world’s best tennis player had “done everything right” to compete in the Australian Open.

Djokovic is set to be deported on Monday after border officials rejected his medical exemption to play in the competition without a COVID vaccination.
